Our Computer Literacy Program

Ramagya Foundation (An initiative by Purushartha Charitable Society) is running a program named “SANGANAK”. This is a computer literacy program for Government school going kids and vulnerable community-based Kids and youngsters to upscale their knowledge and technological background by being a catalyst towards socio-economical changes.
The basic knowledge of computer skills is very important in today’s environment because everything is centred on technology. Computer literacy is also important because of the changing work environment. The workplace today is 95% computerized, “no matter where you ĀĹÚ employment, there is a good chance a computer will be a basic tool you will have to use”.It is very important that we try and equip our kid’s schools with basic computer knowledge in order to use these skills in classrooms. Capacity building is the prime priority of education which is not possible without Computer Literacy.
1. To empower kids of these communities with computer education which will include knowledge in computer programmings such as Microsoft kþce and technical skills in computer engineering – installation, assembly, and repairs.
2. To establish computerized vocational training centres covering every government school oýering training courses on a wide range of occupational skills.
3. To improve education in rural and urban communities by establishing and equipping computer education centres in government schools.
4. To establish Computer Center in government schools specializing in the use of information technology to support the education of girls with relevant local content and for intellectual development.
5. To improve the skills of the students and to increase the computer literacy ratio in the area.
6. To provide adequate education to these girls to make them good citizens and have a better future through computer vocational training.
7. To bring a positive change not only in the lives of girls but in society as a whole.
