Soccer is a unique game, the perfect vehicle that transcends race, religion, language and gender to bring about a change in the lives of street dwellers. Ramagya Foundation in alliance with Slum Soccer, an NGO from the state of Maharashtra, aims to combat homelessness and improve the lives of deprived people.
To equip the underprivileged to deal with and emerge from the disadvantages riding on the back of their homelessness, we use the medium of football. Unconventional as it may seem, development through sport has a track record of being successful, across continents and from our own experience. Football is used as a common thread that connects individuals to promote learning and empowerment within communities.
The power of football teaches useful life skills such as teamwork, self-discipline, acceptance, and other ways to enhance social development. Our Unnati students of classes IV and V are getting special training under Mr. Shivam as the coach.
