The fraction of school dropout issue in India is an alarming state. About 60 million children don’t even get the privilege to go to primary schools or drop out due to some of the other circumstances. The 2009 Right to children to the free and compulsory education act, ensures that the norms, standards and conditions are essential to accessible, quality elementary education is in place.
Ramagya Foundation’s UMEED is an initiative to provide primary education to the children who are out of school by inculcating the learning abilities and confidence to enrol in mainstream education. In association with Mahagun group, UMEED provides primary education to the children of construction workers through the participatory approach with a focus of developing a keen interest and willingness to learn. Through our inventiveness, we do not only develop the interest but also prove that with the full passion we shall make them reach their destination of basic education and upskilling.
